These bowls were used for drinking tea. They each have a different surface texture. Yaozhou stoneware is renowned for its olive green celadon glaze, while Jian and Jizhou wares are famous for their black glaze. The bowl with a marble pattern was made by mixing two different types of clay in order to imitate Roman glass.
