Andromeda looks back in despair; can Perseus save her by turning the sea monster to stone? This was one of the many amorous mythological stories that Annibale Carracci painted as a fresco in Palazzo Farnese (Rome). Cesio produced prints of Carracci’s frescoes to bring them to the attention of a wider public. Issued by a publisher specialized in prints after monuments, they secured Cesio many new assignments.
