Jupiter en Mercurius zijn te gast in de hut van Philemon en Baucis. Op het rieten dak de omlaag ziende adelaar (Jupiter), zittend op een bliksemschicht. Voor Baucis zit de gans. In het reliëf het uitgesneden onderschrift: Chacun peut se contanter de son sort. Met lijst.
